About Roshini Umesh
My Story
I started hospice volunteering when I was in eighth grade, at the age of 14. Initially, I just wanted to get exposed to the healthcare field to see if I was interested. Soon, I fell in love with hospice volunteering and all the memories I have shared with my patients.
I started HEART Volunteers because I saw how small acts of compassion could brighten the lives of hospice patients. Many of them face loneliness, limited social interaction, and/or a lack of support. I wanted to create a program that recognized these unique needs.
Through HEART Volunteers, we provide companionship, celebrate milestones, honor veterans, and bring comfort to both patients and their families. We ensure that no one feels forgotten during such a vulnerable stage of life.
